Matthew’s background is in sorghum breeding and genetics, graduating from Dr. Bill Rooney’s plant breeding and genetics program at Texas A&M. Prior to founding Bartek Ag, Matthew was employed as a sweet sorghum breeder for a private sorghum seed company where he was responsible for the development of sweet sorghum products and technologies. In addition to line breeding and development, Matthew also spent time expanding the sorghum market both domestically and internationally, scientific due diligence, and participating in the expansion of molecular technologies. Currently Matthew leads all scientific and strategic activities for Bartek Ag.

Cara’s background is in organization development with a specialty in training and development. Cara received her doctoral degree from Texas A&M in human resource development in 2009. She was employed with a mid-sized manufacturing company where she developed and managed the corporate training and development, talent management, and career development programs. Cara’s current responsibilities include all operational and financial activities for Bartek Ag.
